AS content: Paper 1 ‘Introductory Topics’ (Social influence, Memory, Attachment) and Paper 2 ‘Psychology in Context’ (Approaches, Clinical Psychology and Mental Health, Research methods). The A-level (7182) is a separate linear qualification: Paper 1 adds Clinical Psychology and Mental Health to the three introductory topics; Paper 2 is Approaches, Biopsychology and Research methods; Paper 3 is Issues and debates plus one option from each of 3 groups (Relationships/Gender/Cognition and development; Schizophrenia/Eating behaviour/Stress; Aggression/Forensic Psychology/Addiction).

Linear, not tiered, three written papers, each 2h/96marks/33⅓% (recorded as 33.34% on the third paper so the total sums to exactly 100). Papers 1 and 3 are each split into four 24-mark sections and Paper 2 into three sections (24, 24 and 48 marks), every section mixing multiple choice, short answer and extended writing. Paper 1 (compulsory content: Social influence, Memory, Attachment, Clinical Psychology and Mental Health). Paper 2 (compulsory content: Approaches in Psychology, Biopsychology, Research methods). Paper 3 (compulsory Issues and debates in Psychology, plus one topic from each of three option groups: Relationships/Gender/Cognition and development; Schizophrenia/Eating behaviour/Stress; Aggression/Forensic Psychology/Addiction).
