A Level

A Level (and its international counterpart, International A Level / IAL) is the qualification typically studied after IGCSE, O Level or GCSE, ahead of university entry. Marlbridge publishes A Level material for five of the six boards it teaches (the sixth, the IB, offers its Diploma Programme instead). At Cambridge, OxfordAQA and Pearson Edexcel (International A Level), the AS Level is the first half of the A Level: it can be certificated on its own or count towards the full A Level. AQA's AS is a separate qualification: its A-level is linear, with every exam taken at the end of the course, so an AS result does not count towards it (see AS Level below).
