Directly confirmed against the official PDF: the simplest modular structure among the Edexcel IAL sciences/humanities suite -- just two units total instead of the usual six. Unit 1 (The Accounting System and Costing, IAS unit) and Unit 2 (Corporate and Management Accounting, IA2 unit), each 3h, 200 marks, 50% of the full IAL, both externally assessed. The International Advanced Subsidiary (XAC11) is claimed on Unit 1 alone; the full International Advanced Level (YAC11) requires both units. Each unit: Section A two compulsory 55-mark multi-part data-response questions; Section B three 30-mark optional multi-part questions chosen from four. First teaching September 2015, Specification Issue 2 (reissued September 2018).
