Directly confirmed against the official PDF's "Assessment overview" (Syllabus overview, p.8-9): Component 1 Written Exam (1h30/45 marks, 36% of AS / 18% of A Level) and Component 2 Essay (40 marks, a 1750-2000 word essay, 32% of AS / 16% of A Level) form the AS Level alongside Component 3 Team Project (40 marks, individual presentation plus reflective paper, 32% of AS / 16% of A Level); Component 4 Cambridge Research Report (85 marks, an independent research report up to 5000 words plus a research log, 50% of A Level only) completes the full A Level. All four components are described as "Externally assessed" (none are internally assessed/moderated, unlike the IGCSE 0457 Team Project). Weighting figures recorded here are the "% of A Level" figures (18+16+16+50=100); the AS-only route uses the separate 36%/32%/32% figures instead, not modeled as a distinct record.
