The qualification

OxfordAQA International AS and A-level Physics (9630)

This International AS/A-level specification covers all topics that students are expected to be familiar with in order to study Physics at university. It features carefully balanced depth and breadth of content that includes topics with contemporary and international relevance such as renewable energy. — OxfordAQA, official syllabus page

Five units run from mechanics, materials and atoms through fields, energy and energy resources to a dedicated Physics in Practice paper built on ten required practicals, assessed through written questions. AS units are worth 50% of the AS award or 20% each toward the full A-level, with unlimited resits. First teaching September 2019; first AS and A-level exams May/June 2020.

Specifications change between examination series. Always confirm the current syllabus and assessment structure on the OxfordAQA syllabus page for your examination year.
