The qualification
AQA A-level Mathematics (7357)
The subject content for A-level Mathematics is set out by the Department for Education (DfE) and is common across all exam boards. The content set out in this specification covers the complete A-level course of study. — AQA, official syllabus page
First teaching 2017. 21 lettered subject-content sections (A-S, plus a cross-cutting requirement on the use of large data sets in statistics) -- content and weighting are prescribed by the DfE and common to all boards offering A-level Mathematics, not set independently by AQA.
Specifications change between examination series. Always confirm the current syllabus and assessment structure on the AQA syllabus page for your examination year.

Directly confirmed against the official AQA specification-at-a-glance page: linear, not tiered, three compulsory written papers, each 2h/100marks/33⅓% (recorded as 33.34% on the third paper so the total sums to exactly 100), mixing short single-mark questions with multi-step problems. Paper 1: pure content (Proof, Algebra and functions, Coordinate geometry, Sequences and series, Trigonometry, Exponentials and logarithms, Differentiation, Integration, Numerical methods). Paper 2: Paper 1 content plus mechanics (Vectors, Quantities and units in mechanics, Kinematics, Forces and Newton's laws, Moments). Paper 3: Paper 1 content plus statistics (Statistical sampling, Data presentation and interpretation, Probability, Statistical distributions, Statistical hypothesis testing). Total 300 marks. Common DfE-set content across all exam boards. First teaching September 2017, first A-level assessment June 2019.
