The qualification

OxfordAQA International GCSE Mathematics (9260)

With a focus on Pure Maths, reasoning skills and the real-life application of mathematical concepts, the OxfordAQA International GCSE Mathematics qualification ensures that students have the best possible preparation for A-level, university and beyond. — OxfordAQA, official syllabus page

Content is organised into four areas — number, algebra, geometry and measures, and probability and statistics — assessed across two linear papers with no coursework. Candidates sit either the Core tier (grades 1-5) or the Extension tier (grades 4-9); both papers in a tier are equally weighted and a scientific calculator is permitted throughout. First teaching September 2016, first examined May/June 2018.
