The qualification
Cambridge IGCSE Information and Communication Technology (0417)
Cambridge IGCSE Information and Communication Technology develops learners' skills so that they can use a range of software applications confidently and effectively, and requires them to demonstrate their ability to use ICT to solve problems. — Cambridge, official syllabus page
Valid for the 2026, 2027 and 2028 series. Not tiered. Three components: a theory paper plus two practical papers covering document/data/web-authoring skills. This is the plain A*-G qualification, distinct from the numeric-grade Cambridge IGCSE (9-1) ICT 0983 sibling syllabus, whose PDF was briefly and mistakenly fetched before this entry was corrected against the genuine 0417 source.
Specifications change between examination series. Always confirm the current syllabus and assessment structure on the Cambridge syllabus page for your examination year.
